GLSELA Students Produce Music Album to Benefit Legal Aid Society
GLSELA students, led by professors Mark Avsec and Angelin Chang, served as talent scouts, legal directors, art directors and license drafters while compiling the CD. The students selected the music talent and reached out to local musicians, experienced artists and repertoire (A&R) and then drafted the necessary use/mechanical license agreements.

GLSELA Sports-Track Students Learn from Industry-Leading Guest Speakers
Great Lakes Sports and Entertainment Law Academy students heard from an impressive array of guest speakers including an NFL player agent, a prominent MLB-player attorney, an in-counsel member for the Cleveland Cavaliers, a pair of college athletic director, an athlete financial advisor and a minor league baseball general manager during the 2016 Academy.

GLSELA Entertainment-Track Students Experience Full Spectrum of the Music Business at Rock Hall and Lava Room Recording
Great Lakes Sports and Entertainment Law Academy students experienced the full spectrum of the inner workings of the music industry through class trips to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Lava Room Recording. In addition to the course professors, GRAMMY winner and Cleveland State University professor Angelin Chang and GRAMMY nominee and Case Western Reserve law professor Marc Avsec, GLSELA students spoke with an array of guest speakers including prominent entertainment lawyer Kenneth Abdo.
