GLSELA Participants Speak at ESLA Symposium
The Cleveland-Marshall Entertainment and Sports Law Association offered a preview of several topics to be covered during the Great Lakes Sports and Entertainment Law Academy at its annual symposium. Cosponsored by the Sports Lawyers Association and the Greater Cleveland Film Commission, the symposium featured several industry leaders involved in the GLSELA as guest speakers or externship hosts, including Greater Cleveland Film Commission president Ivan Schwartz, Cleveland Cavaliers general counsel Jason Hillman and Director of the Mid American Conference Dr. Jon Steinbrecher.

GLSELA Courses Offered Via Distance Learning at the 2014 Academy
For the first time, GLSELA students will have the opportunity to take the sports law track 2014 academy entirely online via distance learning courses. In addition to attending the academy in-person, students may choose to complete courses online synchronously, through live video sessions (asynchronous recorded sessions are also available, if necessary). The course’s special lectures will also be made available through the distance learning platform, making the academy’s law courses among the few throughout the country available entirely online.
